Walter started 2nd grade with Mrs. Smith and Johanna started 4th grade with Mrs. Standorf.
Walter was a bit of a goof ball on the first day.
Michelle waited with him to walk him into school but he decided at the last minute that he would go in by himself. I asked him several times if he was sure which his friend overheard and responded (with his arm around Walter), "I'll take good care of him!"
Walter struggles to remember his teacher's name. When anyone asks, he responds "same as Johanna" because Mrs. Smith was also Johanna's second grade teacher.
Johanna, of course, chose to walk in herself on the first day.
Both Johanna and Walter were very excited for Bryant to have a therapy dog at school this year.
Johanna had homework her first day to bring in several things that describe her. She chose homemade craft (pot holder), cousins picture, sunglasses from Melissa, and softball face guard.
Before the first day of school, we finished out the summer with a trip to Madison.
The day before school started we had picture day and a trip to Dunkin Donuts.
