Easter & Spring 2026

One of our Easter celebrations was like a little trip back in time.

Kids spent most of their time taking turns on a typewriter and playing with a stick outside.

They still had their Easter egg hunt and helped with the dishes.

At our house, the kids helped stuff Easter egg for a family friend.

Johanna and I were excited to have a winning bid at our first ever silent auction.

Karen worked with the granddaughters to make some signs and attend a No Kings rally (unfortunately Johanna had a school event and couldn't attend).

Tony made a beautiful new table for the deck.

Walter enjoyed a trip to the Chinese buffet for Easter and visit to his favorite decorative kitty.

Winter 2025/2026

First snow storm of the season was around Thanksgiving Weekend.

Walter really enjoys shoveling and clearing the snow.  The neighbors had a tool to make snow blocks for an igloo so Walter's next goal is building with snow. The biggest snow storm of the season was probably in March where Monday was a snow day (virtual learning day) but by Saturday Walter was running through a sprinkler with the neighbors.

New Years was time to break out the Cotton Candy machine and eat out with some of the cousins.

We were able to make it to Iowa Women's basketball game in Madison with some of Michelle's Madison friends.  Johanna got a new shirt, Shoot That Chit, to support the player Chit-Chat Wright.

We also made it to a Fighting Saints hockey game.

The kids got a special brunch out at the Milkhouse.

Walter tried out ice skating but didn't get too far.

Michelle got a girls night out.
