Goodbye 2020

 What we learned in 2020.....

Johanna can stay up until midnight on New Years Eve.

Walter can watch TV almost any where, any way.

Mom likes her new job and working from home.

Dad is almost unrecognizable when gowned up to go into a covid room.

Movie night and sleepovers with mom in the basement every Friday is a welcome treat.

And lots of time at home means lots of home projects!  Living room carpet, stairs carpet, paint, end tables, and desk.  Kitchen breakfast table and cornice.  Outside porch swing and rain barrel. Walter's room headboard, nightstand, and wall paint.  Johanna's room wall paint and new whiteboard.  Now if only stoves will come back in stock so we can finally get our gas stove and a new kitchen counter!

Johanna Solo to MKE

Johanna was lucky enough to spend a few days after Christmas with Melissa in Milwaukee.

She was very excited to go, and made a to-do list.

She had a great time and was able to check off everything on her list, but did get homesick.

We can’t wait until we can send ALL the kids to Melissa’s for a few days.  Although Walter did enjoy his "uninterrupted" time at home.

Christmas 2020

We got to experience Christmas across multiple mini visits.  We were able to see most family via short, masked visits or zoom.  So the kids were happy that covid didn’t reduce the number of presents they got!

Merry Christmas wishes via text.

Hot chocolate bombs on Christmas Eve, thanks to Aunt Heather.

Santa came!

Johanna's highly anticipated Barbie Dream House.

Walter eagerly awaiting more present opening.

Arnold zoom time.

Completing one of her art presents, 30 minutes after opening it.
