10 months

We were a little late with Johanna's 10 month pictures but I blame vacation (and her inability to sit still).  Johanna's big news is that she got moved up to the toddler room at daycare.  No more babies for her to crawl on and steal pacifiers from. So far she's holding her own in the big kids room.  She sits at a table with the other kids to eat and even sleeps on a cot.  She is still getting used to a sippy cup so she is also offered a bottle. But that's OK, mommy isn't ready to give up bottle cuddle time.  She is very close to walking and is able to take a few steps on her own.  She isn't speaking much yet, lots of good babble- especially "mamamama", but understands her name and No!

TX Trip

My last big trip for work this year was to Austin Texas!   We went to the Congress St bridge to see the large exodus of bats at dusk. Unfortunately, we were a little late due to some good beer and burgers so I got a picture of downtown with the capital instead.  We went to Salt Lick for BBQ which was great and explored their pretty grounds. And on the last night we went to a variety show called Ester's Follies. I would definitely recommend it if you are in the area.  The political comedy was fun and the magic was great!

CA Trip

In June I was able to go to California on another work trip with a friend.  We were in Sacramento first where we checked out the tower bridge and went for a walk on the river.  Not the type of place I would return to but the second leg of our trip was to Oceanside and San Diego which was great!  We went to the Stone Brewery and enjoyed a beer for Tony.  We also got a chance to see La Jolla beach.  Lots of seals (who were a little smelly if you were in the wrong direction of the wind) but very pretty!
